Pembrey, west Wales
The accident happened at Pembrey Race Circuit
A classic motorcycle enthusiast has been killed during a race at the Pembrey motor circuit in Carmarthenshire.

The man in his 40s was riding in the sidecar of a vintage 900cc machine when it left the circuit at the end of a fast straight and crashed into fencing.

The driver was taken to Glangwili hospital in Carmarthen where his condition is said to be stable.

His passenger was flown by the Dyfed-Powys Police helicopter to Morriston Hospital in Swansea where he died shortly afterwards.

The dead man came from the south east of England and has not been named until relatives have been informed.

The accident happened during a round of the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club's national championships.
