Coroner names one of two dead men

Both men were from Bala, police have said

The North West Wales coroner has confirmed a man found hanging in Bala, Gwynedd, on New Year's Day was Ryan Gwyn Childs.

Mr Childs, 18, was discovered in the grounds of Ysgol y Berwyn secondary school in the town.

Police are investigating his death, and that of another young man who was found dead in Bala's industrial estate on Sunday.

A police spokesman said there was no indications the deaths are connected.

The second man has not been named as coroner Dewi Pritchard Jones is awaiting the result of the post mortem.

North Wales Police said they were offering support to both families, and have high visibility patrols in the town to reassure the community.
