Remand on bungalow murder charge

Kenneth Auger was found dead at his home last weekend

A 60-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged with murder of a man aged 64 in Merthyr Tydfil.

The man, who has not been named, was remanded in custody by magistrates at Pontypridd to appear at Merthyr Crown Court on 2 January.

Kenneth Augur lived alone in a bungalow in the Twynyrodyn area of the town.

His body was found after police were alerted last Saturday night. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers.
