Man killed in lane crash is named

An 18-year-old man who died when the car he was a passenger in crashed in a country lane has been named by Dyfed-Powys Police.

Max Pugh, from Rhayader, Powys, was in the village of Bwlch-y-Sarnau when the incident happened on Friday night.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital after sustaining minor injuries, but he was later discharged.

Police are investigating the incident, and it is understood it occurred on an unclassified road.
