Inquiry after man dies in blaze

An investigation was started into the cause of the fire

Police and fire investigators have started an inquiry after a man died in a house fire in New Quay in Ceredigion in the early hours.

Mid and West Wales fire crews were first called to the blazing property at Lewis Terrace in the town at 0050 GMT on Monday.

Mid and West Wales Fire Service said the outbreak destroyed the house and crews were at the scene until 0500 GMT.

No details of the man who died have been released yet.
