Agency murder charge man's remand

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering the director of a driver recruitment agency in south Wales.

Father-of-two Kingsley Monk died at the Driverline 247 recruitment agency in New Inn, Pontypool, Torfaen, on Monday.

Russell Carter, 52, of Rumney, Cardiff is also charged with the attempted murder of three of Mr Monk's co-workers and four counts of false imprisonment.

Magistrates remanded Mr Carter in custody until a preliminary hearing at Newport Crown Court on 30 October.

Robert Lewis, Nathan Taylor and Gethan Heal were injured in the incident and were treated in hospital but have since been released.
