Police release three over death

Police have released three of the four men arrested in connection with the death of a 45-year-old man who was assaulted outside a pub in south Wales.

Alan Brown, of New Tredegar, who was taken to hospital on Sunday after the attack outside the Tredegar Arms Hotel, Tredegar, died on Monday.

A 25-year-old man from Abertysswg is still being questioned by police on suspicion of murder.

A 29-year-old man arrested on the same suspicion has been released on bail.

The other two men - a 19-year-old from Ebbw Vale and a 21-year-old from Tredegar - who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have also bee released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The scene of the attack was cordoned off by police for forensic teams to gather evidence.
