Anthony Rees was found dead in Grovers Close, Glyncoch, on Thursday after police forced entry to the house.
Anthony John Fitzgerald, 22, of Greenmeadow Close, Pontypridd, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, were remanded in custody.
They will appear at Cardiff Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on 20 February.
