South Wales Police sealed off the scene in Grovers Close, Glyncoch
South Wales Police have named a man found dead at a house at Pontypridd as 40-year-old Anthony Ivor Rees.

The scene in Grovers Close, Glyncoch, was sealed off by police on Thursday and a 22-year-old local man is being questioned on suspicion of murder.

Police said Mr Rees' family had been informed of his death.

Officers are appealing for information from anyone who was near Grovers Close between the evening of 5 February and midnight on Wednesday.

The body was found by officers on Thursday who had forced entry to the house. The cause of death has not yet been confirmed.

Police said a Home Office pathologist and a forensic scientist had been called to the scene and an incident room has been set up at Pontypridd police station.
