Fatal Christmas Eve crash appeal
Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A5 near Betws-y-Coed, Conwy after a man died and two women and two children were hurt.

The man, who was 23 and from Llandudno, was airlifted to hospital in Bangor on Christmas Eve but later died.

The crash involved a VW Passat and a Volvo and happened at Padog Bends at 0745 on Monday. The dead man was a passenger in the Volvo.

The two women drivers and two children were treated for minor injuries.

The children, an eight-month-old girl and a two-year-old girl, were passengers in the Volvo.
