Youths hold knife to baby's neck
Clive Street, Grangetown, Cardiff
The burglary happened in Clive Street, Grangetown, Cardiff
Two youths who may be as young as 12 have held a kitchen knife to the neck of a four-week-old baby while breaking into a flat and stealing cash.

Police said the two brandished kitchen knives at the baby and threatened her mother, aged 25, before they fled with the money.

Officers said a second flat was broken into, also in the Grangetown area of Cardiff, at about 1830 GMT on Sunday.

The two are described as between 12 and 14 years old and wearing hooded tops.

One of the two is described as white with blond hair.

He was wearing a grey hooded top which had red lettering, black jeans and trainers.

The second youth is also white and was wearing a white top with the hood up.

It has been reported that one of the boys stayed in the Clive Street flat with the woman and baby, while the other raided another flat in the same building when the householders were out.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cardiff Central CID on 02920 222111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
