Former Hear'Say singer Noel Sullivan has won a five-year legal battle after being thrown out of a nightclub following a row over champagne.
Mr Sullivan, who was injured, received undisclosed damages and costs from the owners of Liquid nightclub in Cardiff.
Witnesses said Mr Sullivan, now 27, tried to pay for a £40 bottle of champagne on credit card.
But the club's system was not working, he was accused of being rude and asked to leave. A doorman then threw him out.
Mr Sullivan said that he was "roughly thrown" on to the pavement outside the club on St Mary Street in the city centre on the night out in 2002.
He was later treated for a black eye, an injured knee and a stiff neck at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

I brought these proceedings to put the record straight and I am delighted that this matter has now been resolved

Mr Sullivan took legal action against the club owners Luminar Leisure Limited, saying there was "no justification for his eviction".
He sued over "assault, battery and trespass to the person".
Keith Ashby, his London-based solicitor, said Luminar admitted liability and paid undisclosed compensation to Mr Sullivan.
Mr Sullivan said he was "delighted" at winning the compensation and added: "I am pleased that Luminar Leisure Limited finally accepted that there was no justification for the actions of the nightclub security staff.
"I brought these proceedings to put the record straight and I am delighted that this matter has now been resolved."
Mr Sullivan shot to fame in the ITV1 Popstars show in 2001 and was one of five picked for the Hear'Say group alongside Myleene Klass and Kym Ryder.
Their first single Pure and Simple went straight to number one in the singles charts.
When Hear'Say split in 2002, Mr Sullivan moved into musical theatre appearing in the productions Grease, Fame and Love Shack.
Luminar Leisure Limited declined to comment.
