'Deluded' X Factor woman's tirade

A talent show hopeful was told she was "deluded" and was thrown out of an audition after launching into an angry tirade against The X Factor judges.

Rachel Lester, 25, from Cardiff, initially bragged about her talents telling judges she could sing like Prince and Gwen Stefani.

But after performing Sugar Walls by Sheena Easton, judge Simon Cowell told her she had "very little talent".

Ryan Idzi, the first serviceman to enter The X Factor, impressed judges.

The 22-year-old from south Wales is an armoured vehicle driver with the 1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards, and had recently returned from a seven-month tour of duty in southern Iraq before trying out for the ITV1 show.

In Saturday's edition of The X Factor, Mr Idzi performed Lean On Me for the judges and one, Dannii Minogue, told him: "You are gorgeous, girls will fall over and melt when they see you."

He said that singing had helped him through some difficult times in Iraq.

"The second time I was in Iraq the wagon in front of me was hit by a bomb and I lost two friends," he said.

"It messes you up a bit and it did scar me, and the nightmares will never go away."

"That's why now I grab every opportunity I can and pursue my dreams."

Ms Lester admitted she was "lazy" but said she was "a raw talent" who was "just too God damn good" on The X Factor show.

She told judges she was better than Madonna and that she had been singing for years.

But Mr Cowell told her "you've got a really bad attitude, sweetheart, you're everything I wouldn't want".

After Ms Lester shouted a string of four-letter words at the judges, Mr Cowell asked security to remove her from the room.

Afterwards, Ms Minogue described Ms Lester's actions as "foul" and fellow judge Louis Walsh said she was "an awful woman".

Sharon Osbourne, wife of rock star Ozzy, said Ms Lester was "so full of hatred and she even scared me".

"What an ugly, ugly person. In four years we've never had anyone that out there and abusive come into the room," she added.

Other contestants at the Cardiff audition included maths professor John Evans, 57, from Porthcawl, whose dancing style was likened by Mrs Osbourne to that of a man trying to shake a dog off his leg.
