The wallet contained US dollars and pounds sterling

A wallet belonging to a Texan tourist is on its way back to Amarillo, after being discovered by council staff some 5,000 miles away in Denbighshire.
The wallet, containing £190 as well as US dollars and credit cards, was found by two of the waste clearance team while they worked in Bodfari.
After a little sleuthing, the owner was tracked down but, as he was flying back to the States, he could not collect it.
The owner was said to be "delighted to know such honest people live in Wales".
Senior waste officer Jim Espley said two of his staff had been out litter-picking when they found the wallet.
"There was £190 cash in there, there was a load of American dollars and three or four credit cards as well," he said.

He has gone home a happy man

"There were some other bits and pieces and we managed to track this American gentleman down to where he was staying.
"He was actually flying back that night to the States, so he couldn't come and get the wallet, but he was obviously delighted to discover the wallet had been found safe and sound."
Mr Espley said the wallet was now winging its way back across the Atlantic.
"He was over the moon - he was delighted to know such honest people live in Wales. He has gone home a happy man."
Mr Espley was "chuffed" his staff had showed such honesty.
"It would have been the easiest thing in the world for them to have pocketed that but they didn't - they did the right thing."
