Crash grandfather, 91, is named
The family of a 91-year-old man have paid tribute to him after he was killed following a collision between two cars in Aberkenfig, near Bridgend.

Stanley Brown from the Pencoed area was a passenger in one of the cars which collided on Saturday morning.

The man who had been driving the car, and the woman driving the other car, who was seriously injured, were both taken to hospital in Bridgend.

His family said Mr Brown would be "sadly missed".

"He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather," his family said in a statement.

South Wales Police said a red Rover 414 was driving from Cefn Cribwr towards Aberkenfig when it veered across a sharp bend in the road and hit a silver Nissan Almera coming the opposite way.

Mr Brown was a front-seat passenger in the Almera. The 34-year-old woman driving the Rover suffered fractured legs.

South Wales Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward and contact them on 01656 655555 ext 34333
