Couple saved from snow on Beacons
Mountain rescuers shelter on the Brecon Beacons
Around 35 rescuers were involved in the operation
A man and a woman have been rescued after getting into difficulties in snow on the Brecon Beacons.

Mountain rescue teams in the area received the call from police at 1430 GMT on Saturday.

A helicopter from RAF Chivenor was scrambled and the woman had to be airlifted to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil.

Her condition is not known. Rescuers said the couple were fully equipped but adverse weather caused them problems.

Brecon Mountain Rescue co-ordinated the rescue, which involved around 35 people at its height and members of the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.
