Five teenagers questioned by police following the death of a 67-year-old man have been released on bail.
The pensioner died inside his home at North Cornelly, near Porthcawl, at 2030 GMT on Monday after approaching a group about their behaviour.
Five teenagers - two male and three female and aged between 13 and 18 - were arrested and questioned by police.
A South Wales Police spokesman said they were later released on police bail to return at a later date.
Officers have appealed for information from anyone who was near the father-of-five's house in Gibbons Way at the time of the incident.
'Heart attack'
The police spokesman added: "Police would like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area from around 7pm onwards, who may have witnessed the incident, or to anyone in the area who may have been subjected to nuisance behaviour that evening."
He added: "Police are awaiting a Home Office post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death, though early indication would suggest that the man may have suffered a heart attack."
Terence Bartholomew, 51, a friend and neighbour of the dead man, said forensic officers had removed a gate from the back garden of the man's house.
He said he first noticed something had happened when he saw an ambulance in the middle of the road and police soon arrived at the scene.
Police sealed off the front of the house and a back alley behind the mid-terrace property.
