Police investigating the abduction of a teenage girl outside a school near Newport have said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with it.

The 14-year-old had reported being pulled into a white van by two men as she walked to Bassaleg Comprehensive School on 6 January.

The men allegedly drove the van a short distance before releasing the girl. A member of the public called the police.

Gwent Police are no longer looking for anyone in connection with the incident.
