Police leads on wetsuit sea body
Worms Head
The man's body was found near Worms Head
Police trying to identify the body of a man in a wetsuit washed up on the south Wales coast have said they hope to be able to name him within 24 hours.

A South Wales Police spokesman said there had been a good response to their appeal and they had been working with a number of forces around the UK.

The body, in a distinctive black and grey wetsuit, was found by a passer-by at Worms Head, Gower, on Saturday.

Officers said the man could have been in the sea for up to four weeks.

The spokesman said: "We have had a number of inquiries come from throughout the country giving us possible missing people or people where there is concern."

He said it was likely dental records would be used to identify the man, who was 5ft 10ins - 5ft 11ins and was wearing a three-quarter length wetsuit with the "Gul" motif on the back and chest.

The spokesman added they were following a strong line of inquiry, but were not yet able to confirm further details.

Police previously said the man could have gone missing from Devon, Cornwall or even Ireland.
