Two men have appeared in court on manslaughter charges following the death of a south Wales firefighter.
Father-of-two Richard Jenkins, 28, from Bridgend, died in an explosion at a disused community hall in Caerau, Cardiff, a week ago.
Jamie John Evans, 20, and Christopher Andrew Raisis, 24, from the Ely area are also charged with intimidating a witness and aggravated burglary.
Neither men entered a plea and both were remanded in custody to appear at Cardiff Crown Court on 8 June.
Both men were also charged with separate assault and burglary charges and will appear before city magistrates on 7 June.
A coroner's inquest into Mr Jenkins' death was opened and adjourned in Cardiff on Friday.
Mr Jenkins was fatally wounded seconds after going into the burning building.
His two colleagues were also caught up in the flames and were badly burned. Despite their injuries, they still went inside to rescue their colleague.
The two men fought to resuscitate him, but Mr Jenkins was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.
