The victim discovered the perils of things that crawl in the night
|
A woman who is afraid of spiders felt all her worst nightmares had come true - when one crawled inside her ear for 12 hours.
It crept into the woman's ear while she was in bed and she had to wait until the morning before seeing a doctor.
The GP eventually managed to get it out with cold water.
The 36-year-old from Cardiff - who has asked not to be named - said that at first she thought it was a fly.
It was only when she went to see her doctor the next morning that she found out the truth.
The doctor at the Kings Road Surgery in Canton contacted a specialist, who advised she poured ice cold water into the woman's ear.
Both patient and doctor were horrified when the spider crawled out from its hiding place - as the doctor shared her phobia, too.
