The boy was taken to hospital by helicopter
A boy has been airlifted to hospital after falling out of a dinghy on a popular beach in west Wales.

It is believed the youngster's father alerted a lifeguard after the dinghy drifted out to sea at Saundersfoot.

An RAF rescue helicopter and Milford Haven inshore lifeboat went to the scene as part of the search.

The boy, who was in the water for some time, was taken to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest.

The search was co-ordinated by Swansea coastguard.

Dyfed-Powys Police are investigating the incident.
