Major factory blaze investigated
factory blaze
The fire took hours to get under control
An investigation is under way after a fire destroyed the roof of a plastics factory in south Wales.

More than 40 firemen fought to control the fire at Paxton Plastic Mouldings at 9pm after reports the plant at Llantrisant Business Park, south Wales was ablaze.

South Wales fire officers are investigating the cause of the fire, which is not being treated as suspicious.

Twelve fire engines were called out to the scene of the fire, with thick smoke filling the sky above Llantrisant business park.

Crews remained at the scene on Wednesday morning after spending much of the night extinguishing the blaze.

Workers were evacuated from the plant before the arrival of emergency services and nobody was injured.
