Charlotte dreams of her prince
Charlotte Church
Wales's teenage singing star Charlotte Church has admitted she has had no luck landing a boyfriend - but confessed she has set her sights on marrying Prince William.

After a series of high profile problems for Church - including a parting of the ways with her manager and costly court settlement - she explained her very down to earth crush on the teenage prince.

She told a magazine that her celebrity status sometimes made her feel "self-conscious" on nights out with friends and she added that attending an all girls school was also a handicap to finding a boyfriend.

Church: No boyfriend
Church told Heat magazine that Prince William was one of the most eligible bachelors but she said she did not generally "go for blonds".

She added she did not want to appear to be a "freak" and attempt to contact the young royal.

The Cardiff-born millionaire has lined up an appearance at an outdoor show this summer in the hope of getting to meet the young prince.

Church has met most of the Royal Family at public engagements, including Prince Charles, William's father.

She admitted to having a sneaking wish to become his future daughter-in-law.

Church is scheduled to perform at a concert headlined by Luciano Pavarotti in Hyde Park on 13 July and she is expecting Prince William to be a guest at the event.

She admitted that it was "the only reason" for doing the concert.
