Two men were injured in the crash

Two men have been seriously injured as a tractor plunged off a cliff in Angus.

Tayside Police said the vehicle went over the edge of rocks at Braehead of Lunan at about 1600 BST on Wednesday.

One of the men was airlifted to Ninewells hospital in Dundee with spine injuries. The other was taken to the same hospital by ambulance.

The condition of the two men, who were aged 52 and 17, has not yet been made public. One of them was understood to have been driving the tractor.

A police spokesman said: "Inquiries into the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing and the Health and Safety Executive have been informed."
