Man charged with murder of Dundee mother

Mary McLaren disappeared after a night out in Dundee

A man has been charged with murdering a mother-of-three who went missing on a night out in Dundee, Tayside Police have said.

Mary McLaren's body was discovered in undergrowth near the city centre by a police search team on Wednesday.

The 34-year-old went missing in the early hours of 25 February after visiting bars and a nightclub.

Police said a 40-year-old man, who has not been named, had been arrested and charged in connection with her murder.
