Three detained over heroin find

Police have recovered heroin with an estimated street value of £25,000 after searching two vehicles in Angus.

Tayside officers stopped the vehicles on the A923 Coupar Angus to Dundee Road, at Muirhead, at about 1535 BST on Saturday.

A spokesman for Tayside Police said two men, aged 38 and 31 and a 36-year-old woman were detained.

It is expected that all or some of those detained will appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Monday.
