Two men killed on Tayside roads

The pedestrian hit by the bus later died in hospital

A pedestrian and a motorcyclist have died in separate accidents in the Tayside area.

The 30-year-old man was walking on the Kingsway in Dundee at 1745 BST on Saturday when he was hit by a coach.

A trauma team was sent to the scene and he was taken to Ninewells Hospital but later died.

Earlier, a 40-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash involving a Range Rover on the B9128 Carnoustie Road.

The accident happened at 1430 BST near the junction with the Letham road.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed either incident to contact them.
