T in the Park revellers have been warned to prepare for all weathers, sleep with their tickets in their sleeping bags and not to take drugs. Tayside Police have issued their safety advice ahead of the music festival, which begins on Friday in Balado. More than 85,000 people are expected to attend each day of the festival and they have been urged to stick with friends and not go off on their own. The event will be headlined by Kings of Leon, the Killers and Blur. 'Outstanding event' Revellers have been told to wear suitable clothes and shoes and pack waterproofs. Campers are advised to bring warm clothes for when the temperature drops overnight. Police said that music fans should not bring valuables with them and they should look after their mobile phones. Tickets should not be flashed about and should be kept in campers' sleeping bags with them during the night. The police warned that anyone caught dealing or carrying drugs would be arrested. There will be drug amnesty bins at campsite entrances where people can dump illegal substances without being prosecuted. Ch Supt Craig Suttie, who heads the policing operation at T in the Park, said: ''I would appeal to everyone who is coming to T in the Park to enjoy the occasion, take care of themselves and their friends and help us to provide a safe environment for everyone to revel in what is an outstanding event. ''Before they arrive people should plan their trip to T in the Park, whether it is for one day only, or for the weekend's duration."
