Hearing for pupil assault teacher

Mike Barile
Mike Barile is appealing against the conviction he received in December

A Dundee teacher who was found guilty of assaulting two pupils has attended a council disciplinary hearing.

Mike Barile, 51, was convicted of grabbing a 15-year-old boy by the jumper and threatening him and pinning another boy against a wall.

However, he was admonished by a sheriff because he had been verbally abused by the pupils and he used minimal force.

Barile is appealing against the conviction he received at Dundee Sheriff Court in December.

Neither Barile or Dundee City Council would comment on the hearing.
