Stolen hawks found safe and well

Harris hawk (generic)
The Harris hawk is native to South America

A pair of Harris hawks stolen from a garden during a break-in at a house near Stirling, have been found safe and well.

Central Scotland Police said one of the birds was found at a supermarket car park in Stirling while the other was discovered in a garden in Clackmannan.

The hawks were found earlier this week after being taken from an aviary at Queen Street in Fallin on 18 January.

A third bird, which was also in the aviary, was killed during the theft.

The hawks were found following an appeal by the force.

They have urged anyone who may have information about those responsible for the incident to contact them.
