Woman dog-walker attacked in park

Detectives have appealed for information after a woman was assaulted as she walked her dogs in Falkirk.

The woman was targeted at about 0700 GMT in Callendar Park but struggled with her attacker and broke free.

Police have said the woman was not injured during the assault but has been left badly shaken.

Her attacker is about 5ft 8in tall, stocky, aged about 40 to 50 years old and he was wearing dark trousers or jeans with a dark jacket.

The area is popular with dog walkers and joggers and police have asked for anyone who saw a man fitting the description or acting suspiciously in the park or in the New Hallglen Road area to come forward.
