Vandals paint swastikas on homes

Swastika
Nazi symbols were painted on homes, a van and a business

Vandals have painted Nazi symbols on homes, a business, a van and a bus shelter in Central Scotland.

The swastikas were daubed on the properties and vehicle in Alloa sometime between 0030 GMT and 1030 GMT on 3 January.

A van in Sunnyside Court, houses in Crown Gardens and Windsor Gardens, a bus shelter in Tullibody Road and a Fenton Street business were targeted.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Insp David Johnstone said: "These symbols are offensive and racist and we appeal for anyone who may have seen anything to contact us.

"This type of behaviour is taken extremely seriously and will not be tolerated.

"Every effort is being made to trace those responsible."
