Arrest over teacher's home attack

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested and reported to the children's panel in connection with an attack on the home of a suspended Dundee teacher.

Mike Barile, 51, was found guilty last month of assaulting two pupils by grabbing one by the jumper and pinning another against a wall.

His family home in the Downfield area has been targeted by vandals several times since his conviction.

Windows have been smashed, eggs thrown and car tyres destroyed.

The vandalism for which the teenager was arrested happened on Sunday.

Barile is appealing his conviction.
