Police make £45,000 heroin haul

Heroin with a street value of £45,000 has been seized by Tayside Police following an incident in Perth.

Officers were called to a disturbance at a house in Ainslie Place at about 1620 BST on Sunday and took a 44-year-old man into custody.

The drugs were discovered by officers during a search.

A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court at a later date.
