Cows trapped after trailer crash

Six cows were trapped for almost two hours after a trailer overturned on a main road near Dundee.

The accident happened on the northbound carriageway of the A90, a mile north of Dundee, at about 1030 BST on Saturday.

A Tayside Police spokesman said the road was completely blocked, leading to a build-up of traffic in the area.

Diversions were set up and Forfar Mart provided a trailer to transfer the cows. None of the animals were injured as a result of the accident.
