The bus driver smoked as passengers boarded his bus

A bus driver who puffed on a cigarette as passengers boarded his bus has been fined £50.
Clackmannanshire Council said the driver lit up at the town's Shillinghill bus stance during morning rush hour on Tuesday.
He was fined after an investigation by local environmental health officers.
Since the smoking ban came into force in March 2006, the local authority said it has issued four fixed penalty notices.
Andrew Crawford, from the council's environmental health team, said: "The driver was totally blatant in his smoking, making no attempt to hide the fact at all.
"He sat there for a couple of minutes smoking his cigarette before driving off.
"During that time passengers were seen getting on the bus and he continued to smoke. This breach of the smoking ban is completely unacceptable."
