Recent flooding caused road closures and damage to properties

A £150,000 study into protecting Dundee from flooding is to be carried out, after it was approved by councillors.
Last month, properties were damaged and streets blocked as heavy rain caused flooding in the city centre.
A report for councillors has warned that global warming and coastal erosion could cause problems in the future.
Planning convener, Councillor Fraser Macpherson, said the study would consider where problems could occur and the cost and ways of fixing them.
He added: "The report [which went before councillors] was written in advance of the torrential rain a couple of Thursday's ago, but it does serve to highlight the sort of flash flooding and the effects that can have, not just on Dundee, but obviously all parts of the UK and indeed the wider world.
"We take the whole issue in Dundee extremely seriously, we're conscious of the fact we are a coastal city and it's particularly important that we are aware as to where the problems may be in the future."
