Police at the scene of the crash
Emergency services were called to the crash on the A822

A man and woman have been seriously injured after the motorbike they were both riding crashed in Perthshire.

The motorcycle was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the A822, about three miles north of Braco, at 1315 BST on Saturday.

The woman, who was the pillion passenger, was airlifted to Ninewells hospital in Dundee where her condition was described as "serious".

Her male companion was said to be "stable" in hospital.

The road was closed to allow police accident investigators working at the scene to examine the cause of the crash.

Police have appealed for witnesses.

The accident came on a weekend when Tayside Police were urging motorcyclists and drivers to take care on country roads.
