Woman's body discovered in tent

An investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in a tent by a hillwalker in Angus.

The 22-year-old was discovered on land close to Edzell Castle at about 1510 BST on Tuesday.

Tayside Police officers sealed off the area to carry out an examination of the scene.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and, as with all sudden deaths, a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
