Student climber falls about 90ft

A student had to be airlifted to hospital after falling about 90ft from a crag in Perthshire.

The 20-year-old was climbing at Craigiebarns hill, near Dunkeld, at about 1600 BST on Sunday when he fell.

A rescue helicopter was called to take the victim, who was in a group from Edinburgh's Heriot-Watt university, to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

It is believed he suffered a broken elbow, fractured wrist and various other minor injuries.
