Postmen at centre of mail probe
A postman in Forfar has been suspended and another has resigned following an investigation into the intentional delay of mail.

A Royal Mail spokeswoman said it was likely a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal.

She said: "It is a criminal offence to tamper with or delay the delivery of mail and anyone caught doing so will face serious disciplinary measures."

She stated that the safety and security of mail was of the utmost importance.

The spokeswoman added: "Royal Mail will not allow the actions of any individuals to damage the good reputation of our thousands of hard-working postmen and women."
