A helicopter and mountain rescue teams are searching for a missing pensioner in Perthshire.

George Borthwick, 83, was last seen in the back garden of his home in Pitlochry at 0745 GMT on Sunday.

An RAF Lossiemouth crew, a Tayside Police search unit and a mountain rescue team from Yorkshire, which was training in the area, are involved.

Mr Borthwick, who is said to be a keen hillwaker, was described as being 6ft tall with silvery grey, balding hair.

When last seen he was wearing a brown anorak, beige cargo trousers and black shoes.
