The Crown has concluded its evidence in the Templeton Woods Murder trial.

A jury at the High Court in Edinburgh has been hearing the case against Vincent Simpson, 61, from Camberley, Surrey.

He denies murdering Elizabeth McCabe, 20, whose body was found in Templeton Woods, Dundee, in February 1980.

Mark Stewart QC has begun his defence without the presence of the jury. They will return to hear the rest of the defence case on Wednesday.

Mr Simpson claims he has an alibi and has also produced a list of 13 names which he said were more likely suspects.
