Drug dealer jailed for nine years
An Alloa man caught with more than £300,000 worth of drugs has been jailed for nine years.

The High Court in Glasgow heard that James Collins, 45, was arrested after police got a tip-off that he had drugs stashed in his car.

When they stopped his BMW they found £50,000 worth of heroin, £10,000 of amphetamine and £900 worth of cocaine.

A later search of his home revealed a further £228,000 of heroin and £6,000 worth of cocaine.

Officers also found two sets of scales containing traces of the drugs and £900 in cash.

Collins, who pled guilty to the supply of drugs between March and July this year, has served three previous sentences of seven, five, and three-and-a-half years for drug trafficking.

His wife Leigh, 34, who was also accused of drugs supply charges, had her pleas of not guilty accepted.
