Appeal after girl's taxi getaway
Tayside Police have appealed for witnesses after a teenage girl was chased by a stranger through the streets of Dundee.

The 17-year-old was walking near the Hub student halls of residence in Hawkhill at about 1915 BST on Monday when she was approached by a man.

He followed her when she ran off, until she managed to escape in a taxi.

The man, who was aged between 18 and 25, drove a black car, possibly a Renault Clio.

He had dark brown gelled hair and was wearing light blue and cream horizontal striped jumper, jeans and white trainers.

Detectives said the girl had "feared for her safety" as a result of an exchange with the man.

They added that they particularly wanted to speak to the taxi driver who picked her up.

She had long brown hair and was wearing a black hooded top and carrying a black canvas shoulder bag.
