Delay for airport takeover deal
Dundee Airport
Dundee City Council has been operating the airport
The transfer of Dundee airport to a state-owned company has been delayed by three months, BBC Scotland has learned.

Plans for Highland and Islands Airports (HIAL) to take over Scotland's only council-operated terminal were announced in February.

The handover from Dundee City Council was scheduled for September but has now been put back until 1 December.

A HIAL spokesman said that it had taken longer than anticipated to sort out legal issues.

HIAL, which is owned by Scottish ministers, currently operates 10 airports in the north of Scotland, including Inverness.
