Tayside tourism chiefs have appointed their first golf ambassador, ahead of the Open championship in July.
Angus and Dundee Area Tourism Partnership hopes to capitalise on the massive event, at Carnoustie, and build the area's reputation for the sport.
The new ambassador, Stuart French, will be followed by a series of other positions promoting food and drink, city breaks and links with China.
About 200,000 visitors are expected to attend the four-day golf championship.
The tourism partnership, supported by tourism body VisitScotland, comprises private and public bodies involved in the industry.
