Building work has started on a £35m programme to provide homes in Stirling.
The move, which will see the construction of more than 200 flats, is part of the city's £100m waterfront development plans.
The Stirling Council-led project, at Forthside, forms part of wider regeneration proposals including new offices and a conference centre.
The residential development is planned for completion in 2011, with the first homes due to be ready in late 2007.
Stirling Council executive member Margaret Brisley said: "This major project will bring new jobs, new homes and leisure facilities into this unique location for generations to come."
