Police are trying to trace those responsible for the operation
More than 100 cannabis plants have been found growing in a disused church in Tayside, police said.

Officers discovered the cannabis after raiding the former St James Church in Forfar following a tip-off.

All the plants were removed from the church, which has been boarded up for years, and police are now attempting to trace those responsible.

Det Insp Iain Wales, head of the force's drugs branch, said inquiries were continuing.

Officers discovered the cannabis operation last Thursday.
